  • Christy Aletky, DSW, LCSW-S, LCDC, started Veritas-Well Being in 2017. After 9 years of serving the Austin community, Christy stopped seeing clients in May of 2026 to focus on full-time teaching and research. There are no plans to re-open Veritas Well-Being at this time.

  • If you need your records, please fill out the contact form on this page. Records are not retained after the statutory obligation, but if we’ve got them, we’re happy to send them to you. Records requests will be returned within 15 business days after administrative fees are paid.

  • In accordance with Texas state law and professional ethics standards, your clinical records are maintained for a minimum of seven (7) years following the termination of services. For clients who were minors at the time of service, records are kept for at least seven years or until the client reaches age 23, whichever is longer. Once this period has passed, records are securely destroyed to protect your privacy and confidentiality.

  • Records can be released directly to your attorney or a third party with a signed release of information from the client.

    Subpoenas for records without an ROI will be contested, and records will not be released without a judge's order.

  • At this time, the Samaritan Center in Austin is recommended if you’re looking for mental health care. The Samaritan Center works with most major insurance companies, often has funding for Military Veterans and their Families, and can provide a sliding scale based on income.
